About FindLowCostVet

People ask the same question in every city: “where can I take my pet if I can’t afford a regular vet?” The answers are usually scattered across shelter websites, nonprofit PDFs and Reddit threads. FindLowCostVet puts them on one page per city.

Our method

  1. Official sources only. Clinic prices, hours and eligibility rules come from the clinic’s own website or the official city/county website. We use other directories only to discover clinics, never as a source.
  2. No guessing. We don’t estimate prices or fill in missing hours. If something isn’t published, we say so.
  3. Dated. Every listing shows the date we last checked it. Prices change, so confirm with the clinic before you go.
  4. Re-checked. Older pages are re-verified on a rolling schedule, and closed or paused programs are flagged instead of quietly left in.
  5. Corrections welcome. Clinics and readers can report corrections.

What we are not

We are not veterinarians and nothing here is medical advice. We do not run any clinic or charity, and we can’t tell you whether you will qualify for a program. In an emergency, go to a 24/7 emergency vet.

How the site is funded

Some pages may include labeled partner links for vet telehealth, pet insurance, or pharmacy, and a paid Sponsored card when a placement is active. See our affiliate and sponsorship disclosure and privacy policy. Partners and sponsors never pay to be listed in the clinic or program directory, and they can’t change what we publish or the order of those listings.
